About Rami Kafa
Dr. Rami Kafa, a graduate of Tishreen University School of Medicine in 2009, completed his residency training in internal medicine at the Cleveland Clinic. Subsequently, he relocated to the University of Iowa to pursue a fellowship in cardiology, where he was appointed Chief Fellow. Dr. Kafa further specialized in interventional cardiology and structural heart disease through a two-year training program at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Kafa’s expertise lies in the treatment of valvular heart disease, encompassing procedures such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). Additionally, he specializes in congenital heart defects, including patent foramen ovale (PFO) and atrial septal defect (ASD). Dr. Kafa is also a high-volume interventional cardiologist, managing complex coronary heart disease cases. Dr. Kafa holds the distinction of being a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
