Disaster Relief Pulmonary Clinic

One Year of Support: Disaster Relief Pulmonary Clinic Continues to Serve Our Community

One year ago, in response to the devastating wildfires that impacted Los Angeles, Providence Saint John’s Health Center opened the Disaster Relief Pulmonary Clinic to provide critical respiratory care for those affected by hazardous smoke and poor air quality. Since then, we’ve helped hundreds of patients recover from smoke-related respiratory issues and prevent long-term complications.

Today, the need for this care remains. Smoke exposure doesn’t just cause short-term breathing problems - it can lead to lasting health issues months or even years later. Fine particles and toxins from wildfire smoke can increase the risk of chronic respiratory conditions, worsen asthma or COPD, and even contribute to heart disease over time. Our clinic is here to help you protect your health for the long term.

Our Services

  • Comprehensive pulmonary evaluations to assess smoke-related damage
  • Breathing treatments and respiratory therapy for symptom relief
  • Prescription medications to manage acute and chronic conditions
  • Patient education on reducing exposure and improving indoor air quality
  • Follow-up care to monitor and support ongoing respiratory health

Why Ongoing Care Matters

Even after the fires are out, lingering smoke particles and their effects can persist. Early intervention and regular monitoring are key to preventing complications and maintaining lung health.
