Annual Provider Education
To meet compliance with state, federal and contractual obligations, Providers who participate in Medicaid/Medicare Advantage programs are required to complete Compliance, Fraud, Waste and Abuse (FWA), Cultural Competency, Disability Awareness, and CMS Model of care training with SB 923 Gender Affirming Care Content (for CA providers). Also is the availability of the HazCom training required by OSHA for all physicians and the DHCS Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) for CA providers who treat pediatric patients ages 00.00- 20.99.
The trainings are offered below in PDF format and at the end of each training, an attestation is provided to receive credit for completing. An option to email yourself a certificate of completion is also available at the end of the Attestation which will also include instructions on how to claim CMEs.
If you have completed appropriate education and training to identify, correct, and prevent potential fraud, waste and abuse, as required by 42 CFR § 442.503, 42 CFR § 442.504, Chapter 21 Medicare Managed Care Manual section 50.3, and California Health and Safety Code 1348(a) elsewhere and do not wish to complete Providence's education and training, please review and complete this attestation form.
California Providers ONLY:
- Compliance (ACO, FWA, Privacy, Drug Diversion), Hazcom and Cultural Competency with SB 923 Gender Affirming Care
- DHCS Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostics and Treatment (EPSDT)
- Only for CA providers who treat pediatric patients ages 00.00- 20.99
Alaska, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, and Washington Providers ONLY:
- Cultural Competency (all providers)
- Hazcom (contracted only - employed providers will be assigned internally)
- Compliance (ACO, FWA, Privacy, Drug Diversion)
- DO NOT COMPLETE if in the CIA footprint (Providence Alaska and Providence Washington) and/or are directly employed by Providence. Providers were already assigned this education internally.
