Orest Holubec

As executive vice president and chief communication and engagement officer, Orest Holubec leads brand; public relations; organizational communication; media relations; crisis communication; issues and reputation management; and social media and influencer strategy for Providence and its diverse family of organizations. Orest also leads community relations, community health investment strategy and global and domestic volunteerism programs.

Previously, Orest served as director of external communication for Catholic Health Partners, now Bon Secours Mercy Health in Ohio. Prior to working in health care, he was director of communication and press secretary to Ohio Governor Bob Taft; led communication strategy for statewide political campaigns; and held communication leadership roles for the Ohio Legislature and the Ohio Secretary of State’s office. He serves as a board member for the Catholic Health Association of the United States.

Orest holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from John Carroll University and a master’s in Catholic clinical ethics from Georgetown University.
