At Providence Seaside Birth Center, we help you manage the changes in your body and understand the wealth of pregnancy information you’re likely hearing. We stay by your side, providing care tailored to you, your baby and your family.
Our birth center offers care beginning with pregnancy and continuing into parenthood. Our wide range of obstetric care includes access to maternal fetal medicine doctors if you and your baby need specialty services.
Throughout your pregnancy and beyond, you can expect:

After the birth of your baby, a special time referred to as Baby Time is offered. This time, immediately following birth, facilitates skin-to-skin, fosters the first breastfeeding experience, and promotes bonding with your baby.

At Providence Seaside Birth Center, we focus on individualized, family-centered care. We provide labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum care all in one place. This means you get a high level of care from the same team throughout your stay.
Amenities at our birth center include:
- Daybed where your partner or a guest can sleep
- Free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV
- In-room mini refrigerator and room service for you and a guest
- Lactation support from internationally board-certified lactation consultants (IBCLC) with donor breastmilk available as needed
- Outpatient pharmacy services for all prescription needs
- Private bathroom with a jetted tub
- Specialty care, including nearby operating suites
- Newborn care with neonatal specialty consults available
Congratulations on the arrival of your new baby! The day you take your newborn home is exciting – and probably a little scary. You’ll have lots of questions during the days and months ahead.
