The Providence St. Jude Pelvic Health Program offers one of the nation’s most innovative and comprehensive range of treatments and services for pelvic floor disorders.

By bringing together experts and services from nearly a dozen different specialties, we offer a level of individualized care that restores health and changes lives. Whether the solution involves our nationally recognized pelvic floor rehabilitation program, a simple outpatient procedure, or robotic-assisted surgical repair performed through tiny incisions, we offer today’s most successful solutions.

Our collaboration across specialties – including female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery (urogynecology), urology, obstetrics and gynecology, gastroenterology, colorectal surgery, pain management, pelvic floor rehabilitation, wellness and others – allows us to successfully treat even the most complex or difficult-to-treat conditions.

For information please call 657-253-0998. Depending upon your insurance, a physician referral may be needed. To find a doctor that is right for you, call 855-747-2247.

Why we are unique
  • We’re one of the few in the nation to offer the expertise of nearly a dozen specialties and services, ensuring we can offer you exactly the right level of care.
  • When you call, our pelvic health nurse navigator will help you determine the most effective first step for your specific needs. Throughout your care, our navigator is there to help arrange needed referrals, answer questions and simplify the treatment process.
  • We often integrate evidence-based wellness services – from nutrition and acupuncture to massage, biofeedback and emotional support – into your care, allowing us to treat the whole person, not just a disorder.
  • We bring exceptional expertise to non-surgical solutions, including pelvic floor therapy as well as office procedures, that can be performed in minutes. But if surgery is the best option for a complete recovery, we specialize in advanced minimally-invasive and robotic-assisted procedures.

There are many reasons for pelvic floor disorders, including medical conditions, childbirth, hormonal changes, cancer treatment and imbalance or loss of strength in the muscles supporting the pelvic floor. We offer expert care for the entire range of issues and conditions, from the routine to the highly complex.

Pregnancy and pelvic health

We offer collaborative, multidisciplinary care for women with pelvic floor issues who hope to get pregnant, are currently pregnant or have recently given birth.

Pregnancy puts additional strain on the pelvic floor and optimizing the health and functioning of the pelvic floor before pregnancy is as important as restoring health to the pelvic floor after birth. Whether you are planning a pregnancy, have a pregnancy-related pelvic floor disorder or suffered a complication or injury during birth, we can help.

We bring together experienced urogynecologists, pelvic floor therapists, high-risk OB/GYN, urologists and colorectal surgeons, as well as a full range of complementary therapies, from nutrition and prenatal yoga to acupuncture and massage. The result is a unique level of focused care to protect, repair and strengthen the pelvic floor before, during and after pregnancy.

If you already have a relationship established with an OB/GYN, we can provide additional expertise to supplement your doctor’s care – keeping your physician fully informed of progress and treatment. For more information, please speak to your doctor or call our nurse navigator: 657-253-0998.

Chronic pelvic pain

Chronic pelvic pain affects about one in seven women in the U.S., and no one offers more expertise in treating it than we do. By bringing together a multispecialty team that includes urogynecologists, pelvic floor therapists, clinical psychologists, pain management experts, occupational therapists, pharmacists and biofeedback specialists, we address both the physical and emotional components of chronic pain.

The first phase of the program typically lasts 8-10 weeks and includes intensive one-on-one therapies four days a week for three to four hours a day. The program also integrates nutrition, massage, acupuncture, counseling and group support.

For questions or to enroll, please call 714-578-8716. A physician referral is needed.
