Meet the Team

At Providence, you'll have access to a vast network of dedicated and compassionate providers who offer personalized care by focusing on treatment, prevention and health education.

Why Choose Us for Your Neurological Care?

We have one of the most advanced neurosurgery programs in the nation. Additionally, our Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center designation recognizes our ability to offer the best stroke care available. But our world-class, expert care is just one of the reasons you can trust us with your neurological care. Here are five more:

Your expert neurologists work with you and the rest of your multidisciplinary team to design a treatment plan that fits your needs. If you have a life-changing condition, we nurture a long-term relationship with you to manage your specific symptoms. And for every patient, no matter your condition, we offer a wide range of services to treat your whole person – mind, body and spirit. This includes everything from exercise classes to support groups and spiritual care.

When you’re our patient, you’re cared for by neurology specialists who have deep expertise treating complex conditions such as sleep disorders, brain tumors and chronic pain. Our fellowship-trained multidisciplinary teams include neurologists and neurosurgeons who perform leading-edge surgeries such as robot-assisted spine surgery and microscopic-assisted brain and spine surgery. Many patients come to us for specialized care and hard-to-find treatments. These include complex neuro-interventional procedures that are available 24/7, such as brain aneurysm coiling, brain tumor and arteriovenous malformation embolization and carotid stenting.

Our care goes beyond initial treatment. If you need in-hospital acute rehabilitation, our on-site experts – including pain specialists, occupational therapists, neuropsychologists, speech therapists and physical therapists – help you regain your mental and physical strength.

Providence St. Jude Neurosciences Institute offers options and hope to patients seeking the most advanced therapies for their neurological condition. Our neurosurgical “smart” suite – the first of its kind in California – combines intraoperative MRI and neuro-navigation. Together, these technologies act like a highly precise GPS system inside the brain, giving patients the best potential for successful outcomes. Additionally, we are one of the first hospitals in the nation to use the imaging agent Gleolan, which clearly distinguishes tumor tissue from healthy brain tissue during surgery to improve safety, accuracy and outcomes.

As our patient, you also have the opportunity to participate in one of our many neuroscience clinical trials. This groundbreaking research and innovation translate to better care – and a better life – for you and your loved ones.

At Providence St. Jude Neurosciences Institute, we are committed to providing access to the best care to everyone in our diverse community. We respect and support the racial, ethnic, religious, gender, sexual and spiritual identities of each of our patients. We offer services such as translation for non-English-speaking patients and community outreach. In keeping with our Mission, Providence offers financial assistance programs that provide free and low-cost care to those who are eligible.

Every patient with a neurological condition at Providence St. Jude Neurosciences Institute benefits from our expertise across many subspecialties. We are part of a collaborative network that includes award-winning physicians and research scientists across 51 hospitals in seven states. The power of this network is one of the reasons thousands of people choose us for their neurological care each year.
