Our team of pediatric experts are here for the mental health and well-being of children of all ages. We focus on the cognitive, social and emotional health of your child to provide treatment, coping techniques and peace of mind for everyone in your family.

We offer a variety of services to meet your family’s needs.

Behavioral Emotional Skills Training (BEST)

BEST is a day treatment program in our hospital that provides intensive therapeutic treatment for children ages 8-12. This five-week program is designed specifically for children with behavioral and emotional problems that are hurting relationships with family and friends and affecting their performance at school.

We work closely with families, schools and other agencies to provide a program that’s right for your child’s specific needs.

Psychiatric Center for Children and Adolescents (PCCA)

PCCA offers short-term help for teens so they can get back on track after a mental health emergency. Your child can be referred to PCCA through the Emergency Department. Your child will receive 24/7 care with three goals in mind:

  • Stabilizing of the mental health crisis
  • Assessing your child’s mental health
  • Referral for ongoing care

PCCA is here to help children of all ages. Treatment is based on your child’s unique needs but can include:

  • Behavioral assessment
  • Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills groups
  • Family therapy
  • Medical assessment and treatment for any acute medical problems
  • Medication management
  • Observation by nurses and mental health counselors to ensure a safe environment
  • Psychological assessment
  • Safety planning

PCCA works with families and outpatient therapists to help your child have a smooth transition back home.
