When a child has cancer, the entire family battles the disease together. It’s not just about choosing the right therapy. It’s about treating the needs of the entire family.

At Providence Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, our care and compassion reaches far beyond your child’s medical care. Our expert team rallies around your family to meet your physical and emotional needs during and after treatment.

Children with cancer are cared for by our team of specialists, led by a pediatric oncologist. We also provide specialty care for hemophilia, thrombosis and other blood disorders.

Services we offer include:

  • Cancer research/clinical trials
  • Cancer screening and diagnosis
  • Cancer treatments
  • Central line/port care
  • Injections
  • Infusions
  • Therapeutic phlebotomy

Our clinic also sees and cares for patients requiring medication infusions for other pediatric specialties.

Our team includes oncologists, specialty-trained nurses and pharmacists. Other specialists on our team include:

  • Child Life Specialists
  • Dieticians
  • On-site school program
  • Physical therapists
  • Respiratory therapists
  • Social Workers

We also offer sibling support through our social workers, chaplain services and child life specialists to help ease the difficult transitions from diagnosis to treatment and beyond.

We work with the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center Survivorship Program to offer people living with cancer in the Spokane area access to the most progressive comprehensive services and support so they can live life on their own terms.

We’re also an approved Children’s Oncology Group (COG) site. COG is a national group of researchers and hospitals focused on finding the best cancer treatment for children. Being a COG member gives children with cancer in the Inland Northwest access to the best treatment options.
