Community Recovery and Resilience Initiative

Community Recovery and Resilience Initiative

The St. Joseph Community Partnership Fund launched the Community Recovery and Resilience Initiative (CRRI) with the goals of supporting community resilience by investing in the capacity of existing nonprofit collaboratives working to advance justice and equity for those communities impacted. Building the capacity of existing collaboratives that strive to improve equity and justice in communities most negatively impacted by the pandemic, effectively positions them to address the community needs going forward.

The CRRI has three components for every recipient: a $75,000 grant to support collaborative capacity, a 12 month cohort learning based model, and individualized coaching and technical assistance that focuses on specific collaborative priorities. 12 collaboratives across the Providence footprint are participating in the 2021 cohort:

  • Covenant House Youth Engagement Center, Alaska
  • Orange County Asian and Pacific Islander Task Force, Orange County, California
  • High Desert Food Collaborative, High Desert, California
  • Humboldt Food Policy Council, Humboldt, Trinity, Lake, and Mendocino Counties, California
