Our foundation raises money for local community programs including the Gorge Dental Access Coalition, Volunteers in Action, breast cancer voucher screenings and Swindell's Resource Center.

Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed critical-access hospital located in the heart of Hood River, set in the scenic Columbia Gorge. Just an hour from Portland, this picturesque area is a favorite day-trip and vacation destination for people from Portland and beyond. 

The Hood River hospitalist service is staffed by three physicians to offer 24 hour coverage to patients. This three-provider team ensures ongoing collegial peer interaction, which enhances patient care delivery and fosters continuous professional growth. Our hospitalists maintain critical care skills and are integral to a high-functioning intensive care unit.

Providence has invested significant resources in bringing cutting-edge medicine to this facility, including electronic health records, specialist and transfer center support, 24/7 diagnostic imaging services and regional CME opportunities. Our hospitalists also have access to regional online medical references, care pathway guidelines and order sets.

Nestled between the Columbia River Gorge and the magnificent Cascade Range, Hood River is a beautiful place to call home and a wonderful place to practice medicine.
