Volunteer Opportunities

Providence and Swedish employees are invited to apply for the following volunteer projects and will be accepted on a skills-needed, first come and first served basis.

Volunteers are expected to participate in pre-trip orientation meetings, reflections and following the trip, debrief gatherings. Additionally, volunteers are asked to pay part of their travel costs, raise additional trip funds and use their PTO to participate.

Want to serve with us in Latin America?

We invite applicants interested in volunteering in Guatemala or Mexico to apply here.

Educational Exchanges

To strengthen local health systems in Guatemala, we have partnered with a Jesuit university to provide educational exchanges for residents and students to serve on clinical rotations in both countries.

Global Partnerships-Sponsored Service Trips

Providence has partnered with not-for-profit groups in Guatemala to achieve a more sustained and impactful approach to global health. There are many opportunities to serve Guatemala through public health service trips, surgical relief, village medical outreach and educational exchanges
