At Providence, we know how scary it is to learn that your newborn baby is sick or in need of extra medical attention. In our NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) we do everything humanly and medically possible to help your baby thrive. Our NICU works in partnership with Seattle Children’s Hospital to offer the best intensive care for premature, critically ill or unstable newborns north of Seattle.

Our providers deliver complex care, monitoring and feeding for premature and sick newborns. We know how eager you are to bring your new baby home, but know that while they are at Providence, they are getting the best possible care to help them develop, grow and heal.
In our NICU, your newborn is in the hands of experts who are specially trained to care for premature and sick babies.

Our neonatal nurse practitioners and physician assistants are on-site around the clock to handle any emergency that may arise. They work closely with neonatologists, NICU nurses and your baby’s primary care physician.

Our neonatal specialists will care for all aspects of your baby’s health and development, from head to tiny toes.
The NICU at Providence Regional Medical Center is designed so that we can provide your newborn with the best possible care as well as love, nurturing and support.

We offer private, single-patient rooms and double rooms for twins. All of our rooms are designed to accommodate you and your family and help you take an active role in your baby’s care. Each room includes a sleeper chair and rocking chair, and every room is located close to a nursing station so that you’re never far from your baby or medical staff.
