Onboarding processes for graduate and undergraduate medical education
PRMCE does not coordinate clinical placements for student rotations. Students and their school affiliates must contact clinicians directly to confirm rotation availability.
A few key notes prior to onboarding:
- All schools who wish to have a student rotate with us must have an active Clinical Education Agreement (CEA) with Providence. To verify whether a school has an active CEA, please contact us at: PRMCEGraduateMedicalEducation@Providence.org
- If a resident wishes to complete a clinic rotation, an active Program Learning Agreement (PLA) between their program and Providence must be in place.
- Before initiating onboarding, the student or clinical coordinator must confirm both acceptance of the rotation and the scheduled rotation dates.
To request onboarding for a new rotation at PRMCE, please follow the instructions below:
- Submit all initial rotation requests using the following form:
- After the form is received, an onboarding email will be sent to the student and the clinical coordinator, preceptor, or caregiver who initiated the request. The email will include the student’s New Innovations login. Please allow up to 10 business days for processing.
- The student will receive a separate New Innovations email containing their password.
- An onboarding checklist will be assigned to the student’s account, and all required items must be completed before approval of their rotation.
-
Once the checklist is complete, the student will receive a confirmation email with next steps and rotation approval.
- The student’s school preceptor and clinical coordinator will be included in the confirmation email and may provide additional information if needed.
- Our Mission: As expressions of God's healing love, witnessed through the ministry of Jesus, we are steadfast in serving all, especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
