Hoda Asmar

Hoda Asmar, MD serves as executive vice president and system chief medical officer for Providence. She leads quality and safety; nursing; physician leadership; acute care performance groups; pharmacy; behavioral health; and laboratory services across the health system. She also partners with division leaders on perioperative services.

Prior to joining Providence, Dr. Asmar served as executive vice president and chief clinical officer for Adventist Health in California. Earlier, Dr. Asmar held senior leadership roles at Baptist Memorial Health Care in Tennessee, Comprehensive Pharmacy Services, and Presbyterian Healthcare Services in New Mexico. She has also served as chair of the board of directors for the American Association for Physician Leadership, and as a board member for the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.

Dr. Asmar earned her Doctor of Medicine at Saint Joseph University Medical School in Beirut, Lebanon and holds an MBA in integrative management from Michigan State University. She is a Certified Physician Executive.
