Providence Oncologist Helps Advance Breakthrough Cancer Study
A new study published in Nature Medicine journal highlights the promising research for patients with cancers resistant to immunotherapy. The study focuses on a first-in-class antibody called linavonkibart and its use alongside the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab for a new treatment.
Early results show the treatment helped restart the immune system and shrink tumors in several complex cancers, like bladder, head and neck, kidney, and melanoma. Side effects were generally manageable by patients.
Dr. David Park, medical oncologist at Providence St. Jude Medical Center, co-authored this publication – reflecting our commitment to bringing innovative research and care to our patients.
