Our Approach

Our physicians diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions including sports injuries and arthritis, working alongside physical therapists to keep people healthy and active. Our surgeons perform numerous joint replacements each year using minimally invasive techniques — including Mako® robotic-arm-assisted technology and Exactech GPS Guided technology — to help speed recovery and potentially shorten hospital stays.

Our board-certified sports medicine physician provides non-operative orthopedic care for sports and exercise-related injuries, including comprehensive injury assessments, flexibility and strength improvement, and pain reduction. As the sports medicine provider for several local high schools, you’ll see our team partnering with student athletes, focusing on injury prevention, care, and enhancing performance.

When to request a referral

Ask your primary care team for an orthopedic referral if you're experiencing ongoing pain that limits your movement and ability to participate in day-to-day or specific physical activities. Sports medicine appointments do not require a referral.

Joint Replacement Surgery

Our orthopedic team uses the latest joint replacement technology for a higher degree of accuracy and the potential of faster healing and recovery time.

Our newest technology is the Mako® knee replacement procedure, now available for qualified patients. The Mako® procedure uses a custom 3D-modeled implant that is personalized to your knee’s unique anatomy, providing a more natural feel. This advanced robotic-arm-assisted technology offers a new level of precision, which can mean restored mobility and a return to your active lifestyle.

If you suffer from chronic knee pain, a Mako® procedure could be the right choice for you. We pride ourselves at being the only surgeons in the area offering Mako® for total knee replacements. Talk with your care team to learn more.

Potential benefits of a Mako® procedure may include:

  • Rapid recovery and a quicker return to your active lifestyle
  • Shorter hospital stays
  • The return of more natural feeling to the affected joints
  • Smaller incisions during procedures

For some joint replacements, we use Exactech GPS Guided technology which combines surgeon expertise with an advanced computer system, similar to a navigation device in your car.
