Transportation

There are many options for transportation to and from Providence Portland Medical Center.

Ride Connection is a community-based transportation program, able to work directly with Providence patients, providers, and the community. Their Mobility for Health team is available to assist in discussing and navigating transportation resources for medical appointments, nutrition, and other social supports.

Public Transportation

TriMet bus lines

TriMet bus line #19 directly serves Providence Portland Medical Center. Other bus lines run within a half mile of the hospital as well. Please check maps and schedules available on the TriMet website, and at the main entrance to the medical center and the security office located in Providence Hall.

TriMet MAX lines

The red, blue and green lines of the MAX light rail make stops at the Hollywood Transit Center, near Providence Portland Medical Center.

Parking

Visitors may park in the parking structure at Northeast 49th Ave. and Hoyt Street. Electric vehicle charging stations are also available in the parking structure. All parking at Providence Portland Medical Center is free.

Patients and visitors are cautioned not to park in reserved or designated areas. There is designated parking for emergency patients near the emergency entrance. Please be sure to lock your vehicle. If you need assistance with your vehicle, please call Security Services at 503-215-6548.

There are also multiple bicycle racks and covered bicycle storage space near the entrances of Providence Portland Medical Center.
