Nurse bottle feeding baby in the NICU.

If your little one arrives early or with serious health problems, you can be confident knowing that the UCSF Intensive Care Nursery at Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital are here for you.

At Providence, we take excellent and loving care of all babies to help them go home healthy and happy. Because we know that the whole family needs special attention when a baby is ill, we take special care of you, too.

We're a level 3 intensive care nursery, equipped to care for fragile, critically ill newborns. Through our partnership with the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Medical Center, we have direct access to the resources of one of the finest intensive care nurseries in the world. Our doctors and parents can consult with UCSF pediatric specialists using telemedicine. Through interactive video communication in real time, we're able to perform specialized procedures here in Santa Rosa that would otherwise require a trip to the city.

Highly trained, experienced neonatologists, pediatricians and nurses care for your baby and support you in the UCSF Intensive Care Nursery.

Our relationship with UCSF allows us to consult with renowned pediatric physicians in cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology and other specialties. Your child will also have access to medical professionals in person at Providence, such as pharmacists, registered dietitians and respiratory therapists. Our pastoral care team is available to you as well.

We offer services to help you connect with friends and family members who cannot be with you while in the hospital.

Video conferencing

We know your family and friends will want to stay in touch when your little one arrives. We make that possible with video conference technology. Loved ones from across town — or across the world — can use it to connect with the newest addition to your family.
