Support Groups

The ALS Support Group is open to people affected by ALS and their caregivers, family, friends. All are welcome to offer and receive support, guidance and ideas for specific symptoms and hear from a guest speaker.

The group meets on the second Wednesday of each month, 6-7 p.m. in the Duran Learning Center of the Broadway Building at St. Patrick Hospital.

The Puzzle Club

Emotional and practical help to put the pieces back together after brain injury or stroke. Informal, fun meeting over breakfast (buy your own). Contact Jim Mickelson, 406-544-6629, for more information.

Brain Support Redoux

Support group run by and for people who have had a stroke or brain injury and the people who care for them. Informal, fun meeting over lunch (buy your own). Contact Doug Combs, 406-549-2146. to learn more.

The Cancer Support Groups are free and open to Montana Cancer Center patients in all phases of testing, treatment and follow-up for cancer.

The Men's Cancer Support Group meets monthly on the fourth Tuesday of each month. The Women's Cancer Support Group meets twice monthly on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. Participants may attend one or both groups monthly.

For anyone affected by Epilepsy. Patients, friends, family and providers are all welcome.

Meetings are held the first Monday of every month, 2-3:30 p.m. in Room 107 at the Summit Independent Living Center Conference Room, 700 SW Higgins.

Mended Hearts is a group for those who have experienced heart disease, or who have had a loved one experience heart disease.

The Mended Hearts Support Group meets the second Monday in September, October, November, December, January, February, March, April and May. The group meets at 2 p.m. in Conference Room 3 on the 1st Floor of the Broadway Building at St. Patrick Hospital.

The monthly Weight loss Support Group meetings are intended for bariatric surgery patients or anyone interested in weight loss surgery.

Topics vary monthly with different talented and enthusiastic presenters. The goal of the group is to offer continued support to patients through education and information for ways to maintain their new and healthy lifestyles. Literature suggests Bariatric patients have a greater chance of long-term success when they regularly attend support group.
