Speak to your obstetrics provider to obtain a referral. Once referred, you will receive a phone call from the Providence Maternal Fetal Medicine to schedule your in person or telehealth appointment.
You will attend your in person appointment at Providence Maternal Fetal Medicine. You will attend your telehealth appointment from home and the genetic counselor will be at Providence Maternal Fetal Medicine. You will communicate through a computer that allows you to see and hear each other. Both in-person and telehealth appointments last up to 60 minutes. If you opt to have genetic testing performed, your blood may be drawn after your appointment. Your genetic counselor will contact you by phone with results, when available.
