Pathways to Providence: Tri-County Rural Healthcare Exploration Camp
The 2026 Pathways to Providence: Tri-County Rural Healthcare Exploration Camp coming June 22-26, 2026.
Clinical Observation & Interactive Skills Lab
Over the course of this immersive five-day camp, students will gain a deeper understanding in various healthcare specialties through clinical observation sessions. In these sessions, they will have the chance to shadow our dedicated caregivers, observing the nuances of patient care and interactions with both patients and families. (Please note, students will not be involved in providing direct patient care.) Students will be paired with a caregiver for a couple hours on the unit each day to experience nursing workflow, disease processes, innovation and technology in the following areas of the hospital:
- Nursing
- Ancillary Clinic
- Non-Clinical
Additionally, students will participate in hands-on, interactive activities that introduce them to a wide range of healthcare experiences, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), Stop the Bleed, and more. They will also engage in an educational panel, where they can ask questions, gain insight, and explore healthcare as a viable career option. Through these experiences, students will learn about the different pathways into healthcare and what that journey could look like.
