Treatment time can vary depending on the type of infusion you’re receiving. There are other factors that may influence the duration of your treatment, such as:

  • Lab testing: Some infusions require lab tests to be drawn prior to the scheduled infusion.
  • Medication preparation: Treatment medications are only prepared by our pharmacy after you arrive and check in.
  • Pre-medications: Many treatment programs require pre-medication. The length of time between taking the pre-medication and starting your infusion can be 15-60 minutes.

Check with your nurse for an estimate of your treatment time or any other questions or concerns.

Yes, a referral from your physician is required before we can schedule an appointment with you.

We accept a wide range of insurance providers. We recommend you contact your insurance provider and inquire with them directly.

Many infusion treatments that we provide require pre-authorization from your insurance company prior to your treatment. We work with you and your physician’s office staff to get authorization before scheduling your first appointment.

We want to ensure you’re mentally and physically prepared for your infusion treatment. Here are some best practices:

  • Dress comfortably and bring layers. The infusion center’s temperature can fluctuate throughout the building.
  • Drink plenty of fluids the day before, unless you’re directed otherwise by your physician.
  • Give yourself enough time to arrive 15 minutes before your appointment. This allows you to navigate traffic or public transit, find parking and locate the infusion center.

Our rooms can accommodate one family member or friend during your treatment. To maintain a calm and healing environment, we respectfully ask that you speak quietly and not bring children with you.

While snacks may be provided to our patients, your companion will need to bring their own.

No children are permitted in the infusion treatment room. Any minor children must be accompanied by an additional adult and must wait in the waiting room.

Treatment rooms have a comfortable recliner chair and an area to hang your personal belongings.

You’re welcome to bring personal diversion/entertainment devices – computer, tablet, handheld game, cell phone, book, magazines, iPod, DVD player, etc. – and snack food of choice from home.
